Sweet Reunion!

Today was another eventful day - Kathi sat up in a chair for an hour and forty minutes. I arrived right after she was returned to her bed and she was sleeping soundly. I can't imagine how much energy it must have taken to sit up for that long. She has one less IV in her arm, which makes it easier to hold both hands now. She is breathing more and more on her own and her temperature is even lower. It just keeps getting better and better each day. She smiled today, too!

Her sister, Theresa, returned from out of state with their brother, Jack. I'm glad Kathi slept during my watch, because I'm told she was very animated this evening with her special visitors. Quite a few of the pastors from Lakeside also dropped by to check on her.

An area to pray about specifically is the large laceration on her lower left leg. It is very deep and is not healing well. It may require some further surgery. Only time will tell. So, that's it - just wanted to get a quick note out to all of you this evening. You are all a blessing to Kathi and her family!

Praise the Lord! I can't say that enough these days.

Kathi - way to go. Hang in there! We are all by your side.

Dear Lord - Please continue to heal Kathi's wounds particularly the deep laceration in her leg. We ask that you take any infection in that area and wash it away.

Welcome back Theresa! We are glad you are here Jack! We are praying for your family. You have an awesome sister!!!

She got her infamous smile back!!!!! I wonder who was the lucky one who got to be there for that moment!!!

Kathi, it does not seem like there is a moment in my day that I am not thinking about you or praying for you. You have given my prayer life a whole new meaning!

Can't wait to bring you a cup of coffee, but for now I will settle for signing up to bring your wonderful caregivers a cup of Joe. Don't worry I will make it Peet's or McDonalds something other than Starbucks and save that for you! :)

Love you, Sally

YOU BET I will pray for that leg! Lord, please fill Kathi's leg with your healing Holy Spirit. Knit muscle to muscle, ligament to ligament and tendon to tendon. Bind those healthy cells together to seal Kathi's wound and stave off any infection or irritation. Pluck out any debris that might be lingering in there and dissolve it to nothing. Renew her body, mind and spirit to its full capacity. By the authority of Jesus Christ we ask these things. Amen.
See you this weekend! Love, Pam L.

The 10 finger prayer comes to mind this morning "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!"

"But it was your own eyes that saw all these great things the LORD has done. (Deut 11:7)

PRAISE GOD IN HIS SANCTUARY!
PRAISE HIM IN HIS MIGHTY FIRMAMENT!
PRAISE HIM FOR HIS MIGHTY ACTS!PRAISE HIM ACCORDING TO HIS EXCELLENT GREATNESS!
PRAISE HIM WITH THE SOUND OF THE TRUMPET; PRAISE HIM WITH LUTE AND HARP! PRAISE HIM WITH THE TIMBREL AND DANCE; PRAISE HIM WITH STRINGED INSTRUMENTS AND FLUTES!
PRAISE HIM WITH LOUD CYMBALS; PRAISE HIM WITH CLASHING CYMBALS! LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD.(PSALM 150:1-6)...(We'll be rockin the sanctuary this weekend Kathi!)

My heart can not express in words...only God's word this morning. AMEN! Cherie LaLanne

I just want to thank Lakeside for the daily updates on Kathi. It's wonderful to be able to be close, even though you can't be there.

From the moment I read about accident on KXTV10, I have been reading this blog.

Although I do not know either of the woman who have been injured, and I am not a member of Lakeside, I have been compelled to keep both of these women in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much for the updates. It makes me cry but hopeful too. Kathi has a little support group up here in Seattle that are pulling for her. I'm sending thoughts and prayers from all of us. Kathi - you are an amazing person, and your sister's got your back!

Kathi,

It was a little over a week ago when we heard of the terrible thing that had happened and looked at confronting our darkest fears of what the next days report would be. Today it's a miracle to read of the progress you are making. Yes, it's true! The Lord has you in his hands. Praise God!

With Hope, Love and Prayers,
Ron

Kathi, I just keep seeing in my mind the day you are able to walk up on stage at Lakeside and speak to the congregation. What a day that will be!!! Who won't be moved?

The whole community is watching your progress and praying for you (not just those of us at Lakeside either). I think your great wish of transforming lives through Jesus is coming true as we experience the power of prayer through you. May God continue to watch over you and show the rest of us that through belief all things are possible.

Dear K4~
Another day passes in prayer for my friend. As R5 prayed for you last night, I couldn't help but think again what a wonderful and special friendship we have (along with K1&3). It was such a cool thing to do everything together and my gift from the Lord in friendships that transcend distance. Thank you for speaking into my life.

What wonderful news to hear that you are able to sit up now. So many sisters in Christ are praying for you. You do not have a soul, you are a soul. You have a body. The body has been broken but the soul is in tack and God will heal the body. I am so glad you have him by your side. Take care.

Kathi,

The tears have been building inside of me all day today!!! Tears of joy, happiness and sadness and pain all at the same time!! I cannot get your beautiful smile and loving spirit out of my mind.I keep thinking of our time together at the Mocktail party at the Womens Retreat. You have the most special way of making everyone feel so important and special. Your gentleness and kindness is such a beautiful quality in you!! GOD's love shines so brightly around you and continues to do so even through this tragic accident. My heart hurts when I think of what you are going through, but I know Jesus is right there with you and that gives me comfort....

God your almighty power is working in the hearts of so many as you continue to heal our precious sisters!! Thank you, thank you, thank you God for the healing you have given Kathi and Kathy....You have answered so many prayers and my heart sings with gratitude.

Keep fighting Kathi(y)....You are both so amazing!!

Love and Hugs to you and your families!! Lynn

How cool!!! I am so happy when people ask me if I have heard anything about Kathi, and I can tell them how the lord is healing her more and more each day, we are so happy to be a part of your life Kathi watching the lord at work in front of our very eyes. So many people are going to find the lord during all of this. I have friends that are asking me more questions about "my god" and I am so excited as I fight back my tears and share with them. My daughter Ella is 3 years old and she runs around telling people that " her father in heaven loves her more than anything and he can heal his creatures and his children he is healing Kathi." so sweet to hear her tell people that when we are out. Just the purest form of love from a child and she knows the truth and she loves to share it! Lord thank you for all of your healing and please continue to heal Kathi's leg lord to be good as new, and I pray for Kathy that you help her with her pain please just take that from her lord so she can focus on getting back on that bike. We love you lord and are so proud to say that you are our father! Amen!

Hi K4....Mike Fulp emailed me from Georgia and he told me he has his church praying for you...so another state covering you with prayer! My almost hourly prayer is for God to continue to knit you back together and give you peace in the process. I love you and keep looking forward to the FABs being together it's entirety. K3
