French Fries!

I received a call from the rehab team where Kathi is -- they told me that she wasn't eating well. A little tired of hospital food? They put her on the phone and I asked what she would like to eat and she said french fries. I made a run to McDonald's, joined by our friend, Susan, and we dined on our fine cuisine OUTSIDE on the patio of the rehab unit. Fast food and a little fresh air!

What a wonderful sight to see, you outside with friends having "Fun Food"!! Sounds like a sweet recipe for rehab!! I wish I too could have been there for a little party. I will continue to lift you up to our Heavenly Father for Refreshment and Encouragement, you are doing soooo well!, keep up the good work, the rewards will greatly benifit you!

Hi Kathi,

I agree with you. A good Big Mac sounds so good. It has now been over two years since I had a good fast food burger and fries. Don't feel sorry for us or try to mail me a Big Mac. Just know that we in Mozambique love you so much and just want to celebrate with you all that God is doing. I know it's very difficult right now. We want you to know that we love you and are praying. So! Keep up the good work and we are glad that you were able to enjoy the sunshine, good friends and McDonalds french fries.

Susan it was great to see you. We don't just miss McDonalds, we miss all our Lakeside Family,

Rodger Schmidt, Mozambique

Kathi, this is Paul Schwarz, one of your old Crusade headquarters friends. I'm just now finding out about what happened to you and have passed it along to Brad Hoopes and Rob Stahl. I'm praying for you as I read through the blog and piece together what has happened with you over the past couple of months!

Dear Kathi, it's been a while since I've written but I haven't forgotten about you! I check in on the blog every week and am so happy to see your progress and I'm jealous you had some yummy fries! And how fun to spend some time with Susan. God is so awesome and faithful in his healing and blessings. Keep doing what you do so well, being God's special daughter. I love you and miss you and can't wait to see you back at Lakeside with your wonderful smiling face and enthusiasm.

Reminds me of the old movie Oliver when they sang, "FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD!"

But I must say that it was soooo nice to see your smiling face enjoying company and grub!

Miss you so much and I cannot wait to see you in person again. Keep up the good work! God and Kathi, what a team!

Love, Johanna
